Jess and I were pretty bored Sunday so we decided to go apple picking. Not sure what it was that made us think of it, but I’m glad we did as time is flying by and it is almost pumpkin picking time! We headed down to Poughkeepsie and picked up my parents. We took a short ride over to Meadowbrook Farm and picked a bag full of apples, somewhere around 14 pounds. Later that night we cranked out the first pie of the season for testing purposes as I like to call it. Basically this pie is for my consumption. Then we made two more for our parents yesterday. We have one more to make to surprise someone with. I won’t give it away as they probably are one of the few people who read this blog. I just love when the house smell like apple pie all day and night!
